Ping An Securities Company Ltd.
(hereinafter
referred to as “Ping An Securities” or “the Company”),
whose
former identity was a securities department set up in Shenzhen on Aug.
1991 under Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. (hereinafter
referred to as “Ping An” or “Ping An Group”), was formally established on
Oct. 1995 with approval from People’s Bank of China with the registered
place in Beijing and the headquarters in Shenzhen. It has capital of RMB
1.8 billion.
Supported by
Ping An’s well-known brand and strong reputation, Ping An Securities has
developed from a regional securities house into an integrated securities
company nationwide. Sticking to “honestly treating people; faithfully
developing itself” as the base point for its long-term operation, the
Company has been engaged in providing all-around and individual services
for customers to achieve its service tenet.
In 2004, the Company acted as the lead underwriter for four
projects on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in the primary market, earning
it top ranking for equity offerings, as well as a member of the
underwriter group for corporate bonds from eight companies. In 2005, Ping
An securities actively pushed forward reforms on non-tradable shares for
domestically listed companies. Of all the listed companies that have
announced share reforms, Ping An Securities has successfully sponsored
twenty, ranking top five in the industry, including four projects involved
in share reform sponsorship on the Shenzhen Small and Medium Enterprises
Board where Ping An Securities ranked as the second among all securities
firms in China.
In 2005, Ping An Securities gained the qualification as a pioneer
member in the new-generation trading system of Shanghai Stock Exchange; by
setting up the risk supervision project and implementing the real-time
supervision project on net capital in the scheme on independent custodian
of customers’ capital, proposing the route for development of derivative
products domestically through reference to overseas successful experience
and independently designing and developing the integrated trading system,
it has also been awarded as “Annual Financial Innovator” under two major
items, “Risk supervision on independent custodian of customers’ capital”
and “Integrated trading system”, in the appraisal of “Annual Achievement
Award 2005” jointly held by Shenzhen Sub-association of the Securities
Association of China and the Magazine Capital Circle; meanwhile, it has
also been awarded as “the Most Influential Corporate Brand” and “the Best
Investment Banking Team”.
On Apr. 11, 2006, Ping An Securities was approved by the
Securities Association of China to engage in “innovative” businesses,
becoming one of the eighteen “innovative” securities firms in China.
As domestic capital market continues to grow, customers
increasingly need comprehensive financial services. They now require
broader and more professional offerings, and are no longer satisfied with
simple, single-channel services. Ping An Securities is well equipped to
cater to this increasing sophistication. As the only securities house in
the industry with an insurance background, it is able to leverage the
